Gameday Traffic and On-Site Parking Restrictions

Game Day Traffic Restrictions Map

Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) and other University departments have joined with local and state transportation officials to create a comprehensive parking and traffic plan to give Gopher football fans the best campus travel experience possible. This plan is designed to ease congestion and ensure safe and efficient movement through campus on game-days.

Pre-game - the following traffic restrictions will be in effect:
• 23rd Ave. between University Ave. and 6th St. will be one-way northbound.
• 4th St. between 25th Ave. and 23rd Ave. will be closed to both directions of traffic.
• Pillsbury and Union St. between Church St. and Beacon St. will be closed to both directions of traffic.
• Left turns will be prohibited from Oak St. southbound at 4th St. to Oak St. southbound.
• During periods of high pedestrian activity, traffic control officers will restrict left and right turns from University Ave. eastbound to Oak St..

Post-game - the following traffic restrictions will be in effect:
• 23rd Ave. will be closed to both directions of traffic from 6th St. to 4th St.
• 23rd Ave. between 4th St. and University will be one-way southbound
• 4th St. between 25th Ave. and 23rd Ave. will be closed to both directions of traffic.
• Pillsbury and Union St. between Church St. and Beacon St. will be closed to both directions of traffic.
• Erie St. between Essex St. and Fulton St. will be restricted to local traffic.
• 5th/6th St. from Maroon Lot to 15th Ave will be one-way westbound.
• 6th St. from Ski-U-Mah Lot to 25th Ave. will be one-way eastbound.
• 25th Ave from 6th St. to 4th St. will be one-way southbound.
• 17th Ave. will be one-way southbound from the 4th St. Ramp to 4th St until traffic clears on 5th St. Once traffic clears, vehicles exiting the Fourth Street Ramp may leave via 4th or 5th St.
• Oak St. between 5th St. and 4th St. will be one-way southbound.
• Essex St. between the Oak St. Ramp and Oak St. will be one-way westbound.

On Street Parking Restrictions:
In addition to regularly marked parking restrictions, parking at the following on-street locations will be prohibited on game days. Vehicles will be tagged and towed. These locations will be signed as "No Parking" at least 24 hours in advance of all game days.
• Washington Ave. between Harvard St. and Huron Blvd. (Both sides of roadway)
• Oak St. between 4th St. and 5th St.  (East side of roadway)
• 5th St. between 17th Ave. and Oak St. (South side of roadway).
• 25th Ave. between 4th St. and University Ave. (West side of roadway)
• Essex St. between Erie St. and Huron Blvd. (North side of roadway)
• Fulton St. between Oak St. and Huron Blvd. (North side of roadway)
• 4th St. between 23rd Ave. and 25th Ave. (South side of roadway)
• Fulton St. between Erie St. and Huron Blvd. (South side of roadway)
